He tried to steal a WHAT?

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Late, late last night, about the time the sun rises for some of you, I came in for a bit just to look around.  I’d seen a post in Hamlet’s blog about a unofficial representation of a movie set that was in mid-production, so I thought I’d go take a look.

Soon I found myself in The Shipyards, looking out over the good ‘ole NCC-1701.

She was quite a sight to see. And if this is in the middle of being built, I can’t wait to see the final product.  Still, it was a beautiful thing, and at this hour I was the only one lurking around…

I found a window that was set to phantom and ventured out for a closer look (I later discovered that the elevator would have worked just fine). She still needed some body work completed, but looked pretty close to being finished. Maybe they left the keys in the ignition… a little low-altitude flying at 1/4 impulse wouldn’t use too much gas… nobody else is on the map…

I spent close to half an hour looking for the clutch.  There were screens everywhere that seemed to be flashing bit and pieces of an instruction manual, but I sure couldn’t read them. They looked sort of like they were in English, but not exactly.  I’ll try to come back next week if I can get Solcar to come along and read them for me.

Old English Sheepdog

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

I showed up late to the sheepdog introduction last Thursday. RL and all. I didn’t get a chance to take a whole lot of pictures, because soon after my arrival, everyone started leaving.

After Rico went home, these two started howling at the door. “Hey, the party’s over… can we come in now? Pleeease?”

Eventually, they gave up and went home with me. I named them Fry and Laurie. And I’m not even English.

Soon after we got there, I was reminded again how great it must be to be a dog. Even a digital one. Laurie, only a few minutes after putting her out, showed me how important it is to always take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Frustration

I don’t remember what I did. I was just being Ebi.

You’d think I’d see this expression more often.  I think maybe I’m too busy picking myself up to notice.

Flying Circus

I stopped in one day and almost immediately began a long, involved IM conversation with Solcar. After a while,  everyone came over to see what was going on, and before you knew it, everybody was standing on my head. I guess with Solcar’s retaining wall, they couldn’t push me into the ocean again.

It was all in good fun, and soon Solcar jumped up too. I wish I’d been capturing video (Sandry, teach me sometime), because soon after this picture was taken –

– Solcar’s shepherd tried to greet me, pushing the chihuahua into my feet, and sending the the whole bunch tumbling down.

The little cow you sometimes see running around Turing finally met a friend his own size a couple weeks ago.  Word has it their whirlwind romance will be the inspiration for a LogSpark Motion Pictures original, “When Slider met Patty.” Depending on the film’s success, the sequel “Look Who’s Talking Moo” may be in the works.
